Customer story: Kathie, Como

Kathie lives in the riverside suburb of Como in the Sutherland Shire.

Her home is a cheerfully renovated fibro-clad cottage on the side of a steep hill that slopes down to the Woronora River. She (and family) have called this place home for more than 40 years.

It’s been hard to come to the realisation that it’s time to move on, but the process has been gradual starting with retirement, decluttering, kids moving out, etc.

Although she’s fit for 70 something, she’s starting to think about the next move… Her downsizing requirements are a smaller and flatter garden. With nearly 100 steps between her carport and front door (a long way to carry your groceries!) a garage with internal access is on the wish list too.

Carpet care

The bedrooms are carpeted and due for a steam clean. We were able to thoroughly sanitise and remove the dust, allergens and bacteria that build up beneath the surface.

We found this well-loved rug in the lounge room, fortunately we have plenty of experience cleaning rugs and know how to get results.

Slate Floor

After a few DIY attempts at sealing this stone it was time to call in the professionals.

Upholstery overhaul

There are a few problems here but they mostly involve grandkids, biscuit eating and feet on the lounge. Steam cleaning was the answer.

I’ve used other carpet cleaners in the past and have never seen results this good. EVERY stain as come out of the carpet and my fabric sofas look new again!! Highly recommend Blanch & Doyle’s!
