Help! How do I get red wine out of my carpet?
Oops you’ve spilt red wine on the carpet. It happens, often. Don’t despair, here are 5 tips to save your precious carpet.
These 5 tips were written by our carpet cleaning technicians who have decades of experience dealing with and removing difficult stains.
- Blot up as much of the spilled wine as possible ASAP. Always blot, don’t rub the stain as you’ll matt the carpet fibres.
- Get some warm water or mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water.
- Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with water or the detergent/vinegar solution. Apply a little bit at a time, blotting frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears.
- If using a detergent/vinegar solution, sponge with cold water and blot dry.
- If all this fails to remove the stain, call Blanch & Doyle’s on 9520 5311. We have state of the art equipment that can remove most stains.
